I’ve included training the last few years because as the popularity of Content Management Systems (CMS) took hold, it made sense to me that people needed to learn how to use them.  Last year, I started offering that training indepenent of a website development project.

Here is a very common email inquiry I get when it comes to people looking for training help:

Hello there! It was great meeting you this past weekend at the reception.  As I mentioned before, I’m like “derrrrr” when it comes to word press. I use it as a content management system program (that my web designer provided for me.) and I ask that you just visit my site and tell me the things that are wrong with it (content wise) or just give me your initial overall impression!

I am actually somewhat decent when it comes to figuring things out, but some things I cannot get for the LIFE of me!!
You might laugh at some of the questions I have about word press. Like, b stands for bold, i for italics. b-quote, del, ins, img, ul, ol, li, code, more, lookup, close tags…I have NO idea what they mean. I’ve scoured the website for a “key” of some sorts that explains what those codes mean, but with no luck.

Perhaps you can be of some assistance to me.

Training Options For Your Website And Blog

I offer a variety of ways to help you master your website, your blog, social media and the internet.  Individual training starts at $85/hr.  You can save quite a bit by attending a live, online workshop on the same subject for $35/hr.  I offer corporate training and workshop events as well which are priced on:

Everyone has to figure out what works for them.  I’m even teaching people how to setup WordPress and Joomla sites for other people!

Live Workshops – I offer live, online training at Freshworkshops.com.  I officially launched in June 2009 after several months of planning!  This allows people to pick and choose what things they want to learn and they can ask questions during the workshops.

Project Based and Individual Training – When I am developing a site, part of my quote includes training.  This also includes people who want to buy a couple of hours to work on specific things they need help with

Personal Technology Training – This is a one-on-one service where in addition to direct training, I work with business owners or bloggers to develop a business strategy around technology.  This could includes finding the right software for your business needs, web applications, evaluation of your website and blog for search engine health (SEO), picking out a new computer that actually works, writing good content for the web, perfecting your elevator pitch, finding social networking opportunities and more.  Tasks are assigned and reveiwed to measure progress.  We meet two or four times during the month for 1 hours sessions.

Corporate Technology Translator – This is for organizations who need a technology guru who knows a lot of different things.  Training is also offered in this service plus working with IT, design and development consultants the organization may already be using, revewing technology proposals, interviewing IT staff, creating strategies and tasks for staff.

AskAdria.com – This is where I do my lifestream show and each selected technology topic is discussed at length for an hour.  Viewers can participate by using the live chat feature.  I started this in January 2009 and it has been very popular on the internet with people learning Joomla, WordPress, CMS’s and other web applications.  The episodes are recorded and available on the site for free.
